Philippine BMX Commission (PBMXC)
will, under appropriate circumstances, extend its sanction to certain
events conducted by its member organizations. In general, these events
will be limited to National BMX Championship/Challenge events, regional
and local competitions. Member organizations wishing to conduct a PBMXC
sanctioned BMX event must apply to PBMXC for this sanction, meeting such
deadlines, paying such fees, filing such reports and complying with such
other requirements as the Philippine BMX Commission may establish from
time to time, articles of incorporation, race rule book and membership
statistics.
-
Every member
organization hosting a PBMXC sanctioned BMX event shall:
-
Conduct
the event in strict accordance with the rules set forth herein.
-
Submit
an application to PBMXC for the sanctioning of a National BMX
Championship/ Challenge event.
-
Members
wishing to apply for a sanction date after the closing date, may do so
only through the Philippine BMX Commission on payment of the prescribed
fee and under the following conditions:
-
The
member can only apply for those dates that are vacant on the National BMX
calendar and that are not conflicting with any national BMX race.
-
The
meeting must not disadvantage in any way PBMXC sanctioned BMX meetings
that are scheduled immediately prior to or after the date(s) applied for.
-
The
member association will be responsible for all the publicity and promotion
of the event. PBMXC will still publish all results when received.
-
Submit
to PBMXC office within 3 business days of the close of registration at the
race a count of the registered entries and remit all levies applicable to
PBMXC within 30 days of the close of entries.
Levies are to be based
on the number of actual entries at registration at the race, and apply
only to classes in the PBMXC Rule Book. There will be no levies for
special classes, like e.g. open classes.
-
Arrange
for all awards, cash prizes, trophies (including team trophies), which are
earned by the participants.
-
Allow
PBMXC to display a number of 5 PBMXC banners on the infield of the race
site. Each banner will be of the traditional 5 x 0.8 meters size. It is
the organizer's responsibility to ensure that the banners are not stolen
while at the race site. In case of robbery, the cost of the banners shall
be reimbursed by the organizer to PBMXC.
-
Submit
to the PBMXC office within 14 days of the conclusion of that event, a race
report containing at a minimum the following information:
-
A list
of the competitors, identifying their home club and the classes in which
they competed;
-
A
schedule of races and a list of results;
-
A roster
of participating commissaires and officials.
-
Sanctioning by PBMXC of a national BMX event ensures:
-
That, as
far as the PBMXC National BMX Championship/Challenge is concerned, no
PBMXC member organization, other than the host organization, may conduct
or permit to be conducted under its sanction a national BMX event which
takes place on, or less than seven days prior to, the dates of the PBMXC
National BMX Championship/Challenge event.
-
That any
member not following the instructions in C.1. will not be given a PBMXC
sanctioned BMX meeting for 12 months from the date of the offense.
-
That
PBMXC will publicize the meeting per medium of the national calendar and
that of the Philippine BMX Commission.
-
Riders
wishing to compete in a PBMXC sanctioned BMX event must be pre-registered
through the host organization. In addition, pre-registration is subject to
the following conditions:
-
The
deadline of the close of pre-registration must be 15 days before the day
on which the competition begins, as far as a BMX National event, or
regular local BMX competition is concerned.
-
Any
pre-entry received after the deadline of the close of pre-registration
will be penalized with a doubling of the applicable entry fee. The
additional penalty fee goes to the host organization. For the National BMX
Championship/Challenge no late entries will be accepted.
